The Power of the “Solitary Visionary”: A Message to School Owners
As martial artists, we talk about “indomitable spirit” in every class. But as school owners and entrepreneurs, that spirit is tested most when the people you trusted to help build your dream decide to walk away—or worse, try to tear it down.
I’m sharing a raw, personal realization with you today because if you are building something great, you will face this exact moment of betrayal. Here is the hard truth: No one will ever care about your dream as much as you do.

The Illusion of Shared Vision
Last weekend, I hit a wall. I had a vision for a media resource that would elevate our entire industry. People looked me in the eye and said, “I’m in.” They had the talent, the tech, and the skill to make it happen.
But when it came time to deliver, there was only silence. They didn’t just fail to show up; they took steps that actively hurt the mission. I realized then that while I was invested in them, they weren’t invested in the dream. It wasn’t their burden to carry; it was mine.

The Freedom of Self-Reliance
It’s easy to let the lack of sincerity from others gnaw at your confidence. You start to ask, “Why does their lack of belief affect my mood?”
But then it hit me: The moment I stopped expecting them to believe in me was the moment I became free. As a writer, an entrepreneur, and a martial artist, I’ve been through the fire. I realized that if the biggest, craziest dreams are going to manifest, they start in my head, my thoughts, and my emotions.

Why You Must “Flip the Script”
As school owners, we are experts at visualizing the worst-case scenarios—failing enrollments, bad reviews, or closing doors. We draw mental pictures of defeat every day.
I’m challenging you to flip the script.
- If you can imagine failure so vividly, why can’t you imagine the absolute peak of your success?
- Why not believe your “impossible” goals are a mathematical certainty?
- If you have to “fake it” until your belief catches up to your reality, then do it.

Your Move
I can’t believe in your school for you. I can’t want your legacy more than you want it. You have to find that fire at your own pace, in your own way. But once you stop carrying the burden of other people’s’ half-hearted promises, you’ll find the peace and the power to build your empire alone until the right allies arrive.
The dust has settled. I am at peace with my decision to move forward, fueled entirely by my own conviction.
Go for your dreams. No one else is going to do it for you.

Don’t wait for the “perfect time”, it doesn’t exist. DM me on Facebook right now with the words “DOUBLE YOUR RESULTS” and I’ll send you the details to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
