Healing Arts for Hapkido Instructors by GM Brian Ayotte

Hapkido is a multi-faceted Style and that helps to keep us active and moving Freely as our Individual bodies will allow. Those training sessions may leave us achy or have pain and discomfort, due to whatever conditioning we are in. We could have past injuries or trauma that slow us down or be dealing with Arthritis or one of the ever growing auto immune disorders. I have had several major car accidents that have left me with a weak and painful shoulder that never healed right and suffer from arthritis in my neck/shoulder areas. I don’t reach for prescription medicine to ease the pain I apply Acupressure treatments to myself and it’s very Effective, safe without all the harmful side effects.

I’ve studied and been certified in Acupressure for over twenty-two years now. From Michael and Gail Blate who pioneered the Art of acupressure since the sixties, working in healthcare for the last two decades. I’ve helped relieve many of my coworkers from migraines and Sciatic pain and shoulder pain by applying specific points. Applying hundreds of applications over the years. Through my experiences I know that the Healing Arts of Acupressure, Reiki and Reflexology and Massage can benefit the Hapkido instructor for himself and students.

When I was fresh out of my shoulder surgery, I used acupressure and Reiki treatments to keep me off the prescribed prescription narcotics. With the help of a friend who’s a Reiki Master, to use hands on Healing Treatments.

Acupressure is a hands-on healing art that opens meridian lines to help blood flow more freely to a specific area allowing for Self-Healing of the body. Good Acupoints release Endorphins the body’s natural pain killer and opens the meridians flow. A Hapkido Instructor can easily apply this knowledge once taught to Heal a migraine or a painful muscle spasm or joint pain it takes less than two minutes to trigger and apply.
